Yummi Pouch Review

Today I am doing a Yummi Pouch review! The Yummi Pouch is a reusable food pouch for babies and kids. They are ” freezer safe, dishwasher safe, BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and can be filled with healthy blended snacks and easily taken on-the-go, no spoon required!” I’m sure you’ve seen those expensive food pouches in the grocery store…selling for around $1.50 each +/-. Yummi Pouches are great for kids on the go and moms on a budget. For $2.50 a pouch (6 for $14.99) you can re-use these food pouches over and over…just rinse, refill, and reuse. The more you reuse them, the more practical they are!

My almost 6 month old was getting very hungry for solid food so I started introducing him to a new food each week. I would puree the food in my Vitamix blender and just pour into the Yummi Pouch. He went crazy for them. Every time I showed him the pouch, he would make his “I want that” noise. I would typically set aside a good hour and make all his food for the week and then freeze them. This made it SO easy when we were on the go. And I love the fact that he was getting good nutritious food at the same time…my son loves kale now (see recipe below)! To defrost I would just boil some water and then place the Yummi Pouch into the pot. Couldn’t get any easier.

And I figured out too that those caps that come on the store bought pouches also fit on the Yummi Pouch. Save those caps to reuse!

I did have one of the pouches separate at the top where it zips close. I contacted Yummi Pouch and they didn’t even hesitate to replace the pouch…they actually sent me 6 additional pouches free of charge. Great customer service!

My overall impression from doing this Yummi Pouch review is an A +.

Below you will find all of my favorite recipes I have made for my son. He really hasn’t turned his nose up to anything I’ve given him…he’s a good eater!

1. Banana and Avocado (My son’s all-time favorite…so good for them with all that good fat in those avacados and all the vitamins in banana.)

2. Kale, Apple, and White Sweet Potato (doesn’t sound all that great, but he loved it!)

3. Spinach/Kale and Pear

4. Carrot and Corn

5. Banana and Sweet Potato

6. Oatmeal and Banana

7. Oatmeal, Apple, and Cinnamon

8. Split Pea Soup

9. Just Sweet Potato

The options are endless…pretty much anything that you can puree you can put in a Yummi Pouch. Enjoy!!

Yummi Pouches are a lot larger than the store bought pouches.
See how the caps are the same size 🙂
